Abstract

This article presents some ideas on my own editorial work on The Origins by Cato and The Roman Annalistic (Publisher : Les Belles Lettres). It first examines questions about corpus definition and title choice for Roman Annalistic. It then recapitulates the other existent editions, enumerates problems I came across and finally defines the originality of the transmission of the earlier Roman historians’ fragments.
