Abstract
By and large, the graduate students of today in speech‐drama‐radio are the leaders and teachers of tomorrow. Thus, the status of graduate study in speech today is an index to the future scope and stability of our profession. So let's consider a few significant questions! What is the extent of graduate study in speech in the western states? At what western schools can a prospective graduate student with a speech, drama, or radio major work toward the Master's degree? The Doctor's degree? What are some of the resemblances and differences among graduate practices and requirements at these various schools? Does this graduate activity appear to be increasing or decreasing?
