Abstract

In November, an estimated 20,000 Google employees in cities around the world participated in public protests aimed at forcing corporate changes. The question observers are asking is whether this unprecedented action by highly paid, mostly millennial tech workers shows that they may be, in the words of New York Times reporter Noam Scheiber, “losing patience with the technology industry's worldview and embracing collective action.”
