Google Android - Taking Stock before the Oral Hearing

Abstract

EU’s Google Android Decision is pending before the General Court, with the oral hearings as the next step. In the Decision, Google was held re-sponsible for abusive behavior involving the Android Mobile Operating System. An abuse with three elements directed at protecting Google’s cash cow; its de facto control over Internet advertisements. The Decision appears solid but rests on a market understanding that can, and most likely will be discussed, making it relevant to summarize the case as we await the oral hearing.
