Abstract

The outcome of this collaborative action research project challenges accepted views on regional aged-care staff education. Creating opportunities for extended discussion enables regional aged-care staff to fully realise their own deep knowledge and the value of their experience. Through becoming aware of their own expertise, with educational support, staff can develop an educationally-sound approach to hosting student placements, and a student-centred orientation program.
