Abstract
Basic conceptual on the community vitality, we have done research study on the local vegetable supply. Community vitality project that the institutes, colleges, schools under the ministry of education can move forward. It is our ongoing process that we are taking towards by the Colleges under the royal university of Bhutan can empower the villages within the vicinity of the colleges to carry on the contract farming or encourage the village cooperatives to commercialize the organic vegetable production. The colleges under the RUB, all have boarding (mess) as well as self catering facilities. The present model in the supply of the vegetables in the student mess is mostly done involving the local vendors. The vendors in return further outsource to the neighboring states of India for the supply of the vegetables.
