Abstract

All human beings are share common resources on the Earth. With this standing point, people intend to solve peoblems by multi-consideration and cross-department consolidation. Nevertheless, the study on the trend of design is not to make a precise prediction. It is not to predict a single future, either. It is trying to reveal the possibilities of diversity and to construct meaningful knowledge about future development. As time goes by, Japan's G-Mark has changed as well. Its examination points have been changed with the trend. Currently, it focuses on body, life, industry, socity and global environment, etc. It means that design is not limited in a single department; it is a cross-department development.Primarily, I adopted 'grounded theory methodology' and 'trend analysis' to explore the feature and the trend of excellent designs winning Japan's G-Mark Award. The study found that there are many design features in different aspects. In the aspect of material, there are features of technology, mechanism, universal and vision. In the aspect of social environment, there are features of economy, culture and environmental protection effectiveness. In terms of human thinking, features include psychology, operation and pragmatism. In the aspect of knowledge consolidation, there are features of managment planning, consolidation design, completion and cross-department research. In the aspect of multi-development, there are features of futurism and new uniqueness. Through the study about value, these advanced, comprehensive and feasible indexes mentioned above could be used to extend bountiful and meaningful knowledge and life about design.
