Abstract

Glycosidation of silicon-connected glycosyl donors on polystyrene resin is described. Thiophenyl glycoside 2a and glucopyranosyl fluoride 2 b reacted with glycosyl acceptor 3 (R 2 = Bn) to give disaccharide 4a in 96% and 70% yields, respectively. Glycosidation of thiophenyl glucoside 2 a (R 1 = Bn or Bz) with glycosyl acceptor 3 (R 2 = Bn or Ac) yielded 4a–4c in satisfactory yields and 4d in moderate yield.
