Abstract
Abstract Histopathology and research laboratories, searching for an embedding medium that yields light microscopic resolution not before available with traditional paraffin methods have turned to plastics. Glycol methacrylate (GMA) embedding has proved to be useful in helping to solve the problem of greater resolution and has the advantage of less tissue shrinkage as well as speed and convenience in handling. The embedding medium is not removed before staining and most staining procedures are easily adapted to the GMA sections.
