Abstract
Newborns to women with type 1 diabetes (T1D) may have short and long term significant metabolic adverse effects. Cord blood C-peptide (CBCP) concentrations mirror fetal endogenous insulin secretion, are influenced by maternal metabolic control during pregnancy, and therefore may be a marker for future complications. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal glycemic control indices and CBCP concentrations in pregnant women with T1D.
