Glenn Sonnedecker, pharmacist and editor, received his PhD in the History of Pharmacy and History of Science from the University of Wisconsin (UW) in 1952. After completing his degree, he succeeded George Urdang, who, from 1947 to 1952 at UW, had been the first Professor of the History of Pharmacy
