Abstract
Quaternary CdS1−x−ySexTey nanocrystals are obtained in borosilicate glass by diffusion‐limited growth. In their micro‐Raman spectra CdTe‐like, CdSe‐like, and CdS‐like LO phonon bands are observed providing evidence for a three‐mode character of the compositional transformation of their phonon spectra. An attempt is made to quantify the nanocrystal chemical composition based on the corresponding LO phonon band intensity ratios taking into account the effect of polaron constants.
