Abstract

On the basis of their research and analysis into a corpus of various measurements and calculations, the authors draw a picture of change in the Arctic sea and land ice cover caused by global warming. A decrease in the earth’s cryosphere may lead to negative consequences for humankind, including disturbance of the routine lifestyle of people. This article is based on a paper presented at a meeting of the RAS Presidium.
