Abstract

The latest research from the Women's Philanthropy Institute at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy shows that charitable giving to women's and girls’ organizations reached nearly $8 billion in 2019, the most recent year that full data is available. That represents about 1.9% of overall charitable giving, roughly the same as in 2018, the latest year for which complete data is available. Despite this gap, giving to women's and girls’ organizations surpassed $8 billion in 2018, with particularly strong year‐over‐year growth from 2017 to 2018, the group said.
