Abstract

New research from the Women's Philanthropy Institute at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy shows that charitable giving to women's and girls' organizations represented a small share—1.9%—of overall charitable giving in 2018, the latest year for which complete data is available. Despite this gap, giving to women's and girls' organizations surpassed $8 billion in 2018, with particularly strong year‐over‐year growth from 2017 to 2018, the group said.
