Abstract

Gigantism is a rare endocrine disorder manifested by excessive growth in children and adolescents due to an iver production of growth hormone. Genetic mutations also lead to gigantism. Symptoms include facial changes. Large habds as well feet, muscle weakness, cardio vascular issues, joint problems. Diagnosis involves measuring the level of GH and IGF-1. Treatment concludes surgical reboval of the tumor, medications, long-term follow-Up as well as hormone replacement treatment (HRT).
