Abstract

The change in Gibbs energy in the process of separation of mixture components by multistep liquid extraction with two extragents in a rectangular cascade with the central input of an initial mixture is calculated. An interpretation of the difference between the performed thermodynamic separation work and the minimum required work is proposed.
