Abstract

It is shown that in contrast to epitaxial graphene on silicon carbide, the angle of the giant Faraday rotation in a graphene monolayer on a dielectric substrate upon doping by gate voltage can be elevated to several radians. The application of 2D supracrystals requires higher magnetic field inductions as compared to graphene, but makes it possible to shift the effect towards higher frequencies of electromagnetic radiation transmitted through the sample.
