Abstract

ABSTRACT For many years, the University of North Texas Libraries’ Electronic Resource Management (ERM) module and LibGuides pages were administered separately with no shared oversight. Over time, the number of subject terms and keywords assigned in both systems grew and diverged significantly, leading to confusion on acceptable search terms and a wide variation in subject specificity. Recently, a committee was formed to review and revise the LibGuides’ subjects and establish new processes for creating and maintaining them. This work led to a revamping of the parallel work done for the ERM to not only align with the LibGuides process, but to feed into the LibGuides A-Z database list.
