Abstract
The method of measuring the sorption rates and capacities for barium getters in television tubes has been further refined to cover more adequately the very high sorption rates encountered. With this improved method it has been possible for the first time to investigate the true relationships existing between barium film distribution, as influenced by getter shape, and gettering properties in 19 in.-114° television tubes, both for endo- and exothermic alloys.
