He is the author of several books on the anthropology of art and aesthetics, the most recent being Lord I'm Coming Home: Everyday Aesthetics in Tidewater North Carolina (Cornell University Press, 1989). He is currently preparing a text on field methods in aesthetic anthropology, which draws on his experiences in teaching fieldwork.Elisabeth JacksonElisabeth Jackson is a graduate of the State University of New York, College at Purchase in Sociology. At present she is pursuing an M.S.W. degree at the Columbia University School of Social Work, and also serving as a case worker in adoption (the subject of her B.A. thesis). She is continuing her life history interviews with Danny for eventual presentation in book form.
