Abstract
This research presents a case study from an Innovation, Science and Technology Brazilian Public Institution. To support the study and design the case’s situation, are presented some necessary concepts. Following some discussions about the features of an Innovation, Science and Technology Brazilian Public Institutions, its main planning and management problems with the purpose of argue witch management model would be better for this sort of institution. Finnaly is presented the case of Advanced Studies Institute, its recent operational and strategic management modification and a qualitative evaluation of achieved improvements.
