Abstract

In this article we will analyze the various scenarios that present the management of the creative process of Mexican independent musicians (representatives, social practices, technical explorations, problems, etc.), scrutinizing their particularities, their cohesion with new technologies and heterogeneous trends in the preparation of a sound material. This academic effort examines the data released from a series of in-depth interviews with musical artists in the country, who reveal different guidelines on creation, an essential stage for cultural industries, and in particular for the productive chain of the Mexican music sector, framed in a context of constant change and adaptation to the digital era.
