Abstract

Brazilian society presents many inequalities and social injustices. A way to transform this situation is access for all to quality education. However, it can be observed that Brazilian basic education presents problems of performance, flow and regional and social inequalities. Considering that school management is one of the main aspects for the evolution of the quality of education, this study aims to develop proposals for improving the management of the school routine for a quality basic education. Through a Case Study under the epistemological paradigm of Design Science, the research diagnoses a real situation in order to design an intervention in the reality to opportune improvements. It is concluded that the practices aligned with the literature described in the Case Study, together with the designed interventions, constitute a set of proposals to improve the management of the school routine. It is considered that this set of proposals is feasible in schools of basic education, as well as that its implementation may contribute to the improvement of the quality of Brazilian basic education.
