Abstract

AbstractWe present the geophysical features along the north edge of the North China platform. Using gravity and magnetic data we have made inversion calculations for variations of the Moho, Curie, and magnetic interface of this region. Based on these inversion results and other geophysical data, we have delineated the tectonic framework and faults. Meanwhile we have made a prospective of nine mineral deposit areas. They are (1) the Jining‐Hohhot gold mine area; (2) the Zhangjiakou‐Chicheng gold and silver multi‐metal mine area; (3) the Miyun‐Gaoling gold and copper mine area; (4) the Qinglong‐Malanzhuang gold mine area; (5) the Qinghuangdao gold and multi‐metal mine area; (6) the Haojiaying multi‐metal mine area; (7) the Chengde gold mine area; (8)the Chifeng‐Karqin Qi gold mine area; and (9) the eastern Ningcheng gold and multi‐metal mine area.
