Abstract

(a) Zeitschrift für Meteorologie, Jahrgang 1, Berlin 1946/47 (Deutscher Zentralverlag G.m.b.H.)—The well‐known Meteorologische Zeitschrift ceased in 1944 on account of war‐emergencies, with the July issue (No. 7) of Volume 61 (1944) as the last. In October, 1946, a new meteorological journal was founded under the name Zeitschrift für Meteorologie, also edited by Prof. Dr. R. Suring, Director of the Potsdam Meteorologisches Zentral‐observatorium. This periodical continues the task of the former Meteorologische Zeitschrift in the publication of papers and notes dealing as well with meteorology as with geophysical topics included with geomagnetism. Short reports concerning sunspot‐numbers, magnetic storms, and polar lights are also given.
