Abstract

Geolocation system for controlling bicycle loans within the university, this system helps to keep constant track of borrowed bicycles, it allows managers to verify the location of each bike. The system analyzes, stores, manages and shows the positioning of each bicycle in a web application built with Django. The device used as a tracking device is a BEAGLEBONE Black and Adafruit ultimate GPS sensor. All the system uses a rechargeable battery as a power source, which is powered by the pedaling of the rider. This system is able to notify the administrator via text messages and email, when a bicycle is outside of the permitted scope.
