Abstract

Marinobacter salinus Hb8T was isolated from a tidal flat and its complete genome sequence was obtained using the PacBio RS II platform. The length and G+C content of the complete circular chromosome were about 4.12Mbp and 55.9%, respectively. Genomic analysis showed the strain has degradation capabilities for urea, aromatic and reduced sulfur compounds. These results reveal its potential application in biotechnology. Finally, the genome sequence of M. salinus Hb8T provides the fundamental genomic information for future studies.
