Abstract
Analysis of the free hydraulic jumps has been carried out to determine the factors that are responsible for a very thorough and efficient mixing and dispersion of the coagulants. Based on such an analysis, a rational methodology, models and nomographs have been presented for a handy and rational design of the free hydraulic jumps.
