Abstract

Both conventional solitons (CS) and dissipative solitons (DS) are generated in a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{2 \mu \mathrm{m}}$</tex> fiber ring laser cavity. By adjusting the intracavity polarization controller positions and modifying the pump power, switching between different types of ultrashort pulse generation is demonstrated.
