Abstract

The idea of the generation gap has evolved as an important and interesting feature in today's employment world. The generation gap refers to the variations in values, attitudes, and expectations among members of different generational cohorts, such as Generation Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers. This study, conducted at Cikarang's PT XYZ manufacturing business, examines the complex dynamics of the generation gap, with a major focus on the final assembly area. Our qualitative study method aims to clarify the various reasons affecting these phenomena and the techniques management uses to go through these intergenerational gaps effectively. This research aims to evaluate the existence of generational gaps inside the company, the complexity of these gaps, and management's activities to resolve them. Management at PT XYZ employs various techniques, such as training programs and mentorship initiatives, to address these intergenerational gaps. In conclusion, this research emphasizes the importance of recognizing and managing these generational gaps, with ongoing adaptation by management being important for sustained organizational success.
