Abstract
On page 574, equations (7 a) to (7 d) should have a `+' instead of a `-' sign on the right-hand side. The last three sentences of page 579 should read: `In fact, the number of covariant derivatives is 2n where n is the rank of the tensor. That is, a second rank tensor has four covariant derivatives, a third rank tensor, 8 and so on. Let us consider an example.' The second sentence in the first paragraph of page 580 should read: `There are seven more covariant derivatives' Also on page 580, equation (20 e) should be replaced by the following, while the numbering of the remaining equations should change accordingly. That is, equation (20 e) should become (20 f), (20 f) should become (20 g) and (20 g) should become (20 h). On page 581, the second sign in equation (24) should be changed to `-'. That is, the equation should read: The next equation, (24 a), is the same as (24) but written in component notation. This equation should have `= 0' added to the end in order to agree with (24). The full stop at the end of the equation should be removed.
