Abstract

Applying the function transformation method, an n-dimensional complex Ginzburg–Landau equation is transformed to a sine-Gordon equation, sinh-Gordon equation and other equations, which depends only on one function, ζ, and can be solved. The general solution of the equations in ζ leads to a general soliton solution of an n-dimensional complex Ginzburg–Landau equation. It contains some interesting specific solutions such as the N multiple solitons, the propagational breathers and the quadric solitons.
