Abstract
We study a general holographic superconductor model in the background of AdS BTZ back hole. We explore the properties of the scalar condensation in the phase transitions and find that this model allows first order phase transitions to occur when the model parameter is above a threshold value. Finally, we study the effects of the backreaction on the threshold model parameters.
