Abstract
The “costal fringe” refers to a linear arrangement of venous telangiectasias distributed along the anterolateral costal margins. The costal fringe is typically observed in older adults, although it has also been reported in younger patients. On the other hand, linear telangiectasias, arranged in a broad, crescent-shaped distribution across the chest, are relatively common among homosexual men and show a significant association with HIV infection.
