Abstract

Background The article is devoted to common concept development for the creation of diagnostic geodesic laser scanners for the construction and operation of main gas pipelines. Aims and Objectives The aim of work is to develop a general model for diagnosing gas pipelines to detect a gas cloud using a laser scanner and to search for the possibility of determining the optimal modes of such diagnostics. Results In order to be used in the construction and operation of gas pipelines, the general task of creating laser scanners operating in the infrared range was formulated. The optimization of operation mode of the laser scanner for detecting gas leaks in gas pipelines is fulfield. The synthesis of a specialized laser scanner, capable of realizing the geodetic laser scanner functions during gas pipeline construction, as well as diagnosing gas pipeline functions in order to detect gas leaks during its operation, was performed.
