Abstract

This article explores how genders are performed theatrically. Gender identity is both fluid and co-constructed. In the ancient Greek theater, the action is never concerned with only the fate of individuals, but is inclusive of the dynamics of the community and the gods. Our personal fate is interdependent with the fate of all things.
