This research paper abides into this concept of fashioning an individual identity along the axis of food, thus describing the way the kitchen site is used in this section to portray the heterosexual household, in which there is the emergence of queer desires in the female characters, who confronts their cravings through food. The way non-western desires attain legibility in an Indian community will be traced down through the foodie narratives of few films. While at the same time it will describe the dangers for any male entering the homosocial space of females.
