Abstract

The study determined gender difference in Organizational Commitment (OC), Job Satisfaction (JS) and Job Involvement (JI) of library staff in federal university libraries in South-East, Nigeria. Descriptive survey design was used for the study. Out of the 274 copies of questionnaires administered to respondents, 243 representing (172 females and 71 males) were retrieved and found usable. Three hypotheses were stated and tested. The significance difference between the variables was tested using Z score. The study revealed that both gender were positive in their organizational commitment, job Satisfaction and job involvement. The study concluded that there is no significant mean scores difference between male and female library staff in organizational commitment and job involvement, but differ significantly in job satisfaction.
