Abstract

An atomic-adsorption flow detector combined with a gel chromatogaphic column (Sephadex G-25) was applied in the investigation of the competitive binding of magnesium and copper(II) ions with diphosphate and triphosphate ions. Some preliminary results are given and the practical utility of the theoretical equations presented in evaluating the competitive binding of magnesium and copper(II) ions is discussed.
