Abstract

Th is paper presents the taxonomic classifi cation of gastropod specimens mainly from yet unpublished parts of collections of the Early Jurassic Hierlatz Limestone fauna. Th e discussed species most probably belong to such higher rank taxa that have been formerly thought to become extinct during the Late Triassic crisis and represent groups typical of Palaeozoic to Triassic times. Th e new taxa are: Wortheniopsis rakusi n. sp., Wortheniopsis bakonyensis n. sp., Foveolaria n. gen., Fo- veolaria bicarinata n. sp., Foveolaria conoidea n. sp., Foveolaria globosa n. sp., Foveolaria suemegensis n. sp., Foveolaria kocsisi n. sp. and Foveolaria sp. (?Pithodeidae), and Cyclostomaria praemonarii n. sp. (Gosseletinidae). With 40 fi gures.
