Abstract

In this study, high sensitivity carbon monoxide (CO) sensor with ZnO/La0.8Sr0.2Co0.5Ni0.5O3 (LSCNO) heterocontact has been successfully prepared. The ZnO nanofiber film was combined with the La0.8Sr0.2Co0.5Ni0.5O3 perovskite film to form a PN-type heterojunction structure sensor. The results show that the response of CO gas after heterogeneous binding can effectively increase the response by 19% and has good recovery and reproducibility. The CO sensitivities were 16.24% for 160 ppm CO, approached 33.89% for 800 ppm CO, while the operating temperature was 200 °C. In addition, the influence of gold particles adsorbed on zinc oxide fibers on CO gas sensing is also discussed.
