Abstract
This paper gives a review of several works performed in the Laboratory of Chemical Engineering of Toulouse (France) on the desulphurization of gas mixtures by chemical sorption of sulphur dioxide on cupric oxide deposited on porous alumina particles in a counterflow multistage fluidized bed reactor.
