Abstract
One concern about the spread of casino gambling is the effect it might have on underage gambling. In this study the gambling behaviors of a university student sample were investigated. Students with higher levels of risk approach motivation gambled more and were more likely to play games that involved a mix of chance and skill. However, there was no relationship between optimum stimulation level and gambling behavior. Underage students reported gambling but most did so infrequently. The typical amount wagered and lost by underage students was small.
