Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the self-control description of class X IPS students at SMAN 1 Cisarua. Self control is an activity of controlling behavior, controlling behavior implies making considerations before deciding something to act. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling technique, the sample in this study amounted to 36 students. The measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire derived from self-control theory (Tangney et al., 2004) which consists of 18 items. Can be concluded that. the results of the study were 12 students (33.3%) in the high self-control category and 24 students (66.6%) in the low category.
