Abstract

Postterm pregnancy has an influence on fetal development until fetal death. Statistical data showed the mortality rate in postterm pregnancy are higher than aterm pregnancies. Data in BLUD RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya from 2015-2017 included 293 maternity women with postterm assessment and obtaining 7 fetuses requiring Intra Ut Marliana erine Fetal Death (IUFD). The purpose of this study was to determine the description of maternity with postterm assessment in the BLUD RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya.This research is a descriptive research. The population in this study was maternity with postterm pregnancy at the BLUD RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya in 2015-2017, as many as 293 mothers. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling technique. This study uses secondary data from data registers. Research data were analyzed univariately.The results showed that the highest postterm pregnancies were nullipara (35.5%), Mothers aged 20-35 years (78.8%), with a basic education background (39.6%) , Housewives (89.1%), delivery by Sectio Caesaria (65.6%). It is expected that midwives can increase promotive efforts for the community of pregnant women to make ANC visits for routine, for the health of the mother and fetus, so that it can decrease the risk of postterm pregnancy.
