Abstract

This paper presents the design of an active solar panel dual-axis sun tracking system with maximum power point tracking fuzzy controller. The tracking system tracks the maximum solar power point and orients the solar panel toward the Sun to enhance the efficiency of the photovoltaic (PV) generation system. The maximum power point of the PV panel is identified in real time and inputted to two fuzzy controllers for dual-axis tracking system. After that, the rotated angles will be got to make the mechanism rotate to the appropriate position. Through the sun tracking method, the PV panel will face the Sun directly. Finally, the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
