Abstract

ABSTRACT The present study focuses on performance analysis of a Compression Ignition (CI) engine, fueled with Aegle marmelos (AM) de-oiled seed cake bio-oil opus. The experimentation carried out on a single-cylinder diesel engine under various engine load (W) and fuel opus (F) at the standard compression ratio (17.5:1). The obtained experimental data are used to analyze the performance analysis of the CI engine by using fuzzy prediction and Taguchi integrated response surface methodology (RSM) optimization. The experimental, and Taguchi integrated RSM results represent that F20 modified fuel provided the enriched performance as compared with plain diesel (F0) and another altered fuel opus. In the predicted fuzzy model and RSM results offered the average correlation coefficient (R) of 0.9787 and the average coefficient of a determination (R2) of 0.9119 correspondingly.
