Abstract

Networked control systems (NCS) are systems with at least one loop closed through data networks. NCS have many advantages compared with traditional systems, but the network-induced time delay and other peculiarities of communication channel will degrade the performance of closed-loop systems. In this paper, we focused on NCS with random time delays. New models, the so-called ‘quasi T-S fuzzy models', for linear and nonlinear NCS with random time delays were presented, the stability of closed-loop system was discussed, and based on these fuzzy models, fault detection problems for NCS were addressed. Finally, a simulation example was given.
