Abstract

This chapter presents guidelines for reporting results on materials in a laboratory report, paper, or any other document. Graphs are described, and the methods used to present them to best effect. The use of log scaled, and error bars is discussed. The use of references is explained, and common errors are discussed. Each part of a typical report is then discussed, and details are given of what should, and should not be included in them. Two final sections cover publishing papers, and verbal presentations.
